I had the opportunity to see Beyonce up close and personal the other night at the Oakland stop of her “I Am” tour. Blown away is an understatement. She is a superstar is every sense of the term—a once in a lifetime performer who has in my opinion, no competition. Her voice, her dancing, her costumes, her all-girl band, her Thierry Mugler garb, her ability to relate to the audience…impeccable and original. The multi-age, multi-faceted crowd was in awe and was screaming with every flick of B’s hips. I have seen a lot of shows in my time but I do believe that this one tops my list. I basically screamed for the entire duration of the performance and took copious amounts of camera phone pics like I was 12-years old. Smell ya later Madonna, Christina, and Brit-Brit…this was the highlight of my weekend and perhaps my music-loving career.

Madonna has oft been chastised for her foray into the acting world. Her infamous performances in films like “Swept Away“, “Body of Evidence,” and  “The Next Best Thing” earned her critical sneers and jeers. Personally, I loved her in “Who’s That Girl?”. Nevertheless, Madonna is not a good actress, maybe she was ok in “Evita,” maybe. However, the bad reviews have not stopped the Material Girl from trying to break into the celluloid universe. Her latest contribution is her directorial debut, “Filth and Wisdom.” But me thinks that this one (even though M is not in it) may go down too. Evidence: after the premiere party last night all anyone can talk about is Madonna’s pistol-packing heels, her hollowed-out cheekbones, and the likeness that Lindsay Lohan’s hairdo bore to her Madgesty’s. Nothing was really said about the film. Nada, zip, zero. For a director, this is not a good sign. Cue the curtain call.

The Gossip Girl gals have all the goods! eBay is selling tons of ‘as seen on Gossip Girl’ items, such as this Tory Burch dress.

Brooke Hogan will star in a new VH1 reality show premiering Sunday, July 13th. The show, ‘Brooke Knows Best,’ will follow the 19-year-old, aspiring pop-star’s life. Fans can purchase all sorts of Brooke Hogan memorabilia on eBay.

Mariah Carey is back on top. Could it be her recent marriage to singer Nick Cannon that has elevated her to new heights? But the real question is, will she start to top the eBay charts?

A-Rod’s wife filed for divorce yesterday, July 8th. He appears to be coping using Kabbalah techniques taught by his rumored new ladyfriend, Madonna. eBay sells hundreds of Kabbalah books, jewelry, and accoutrements. He can accessorize himself—we’ll start calling him the “Material Boy.”

Yesterday I had the distinct pleasure of appearing on the Fuse Network program, “The Sauce”, a high-energy show (complete with a cheering live audience!) that focuses on music, TV, movies, and interviews with hot stars. I went on the show to discuss all of the important news of the day: American Idol, Mariah vs. Madonna, Sex and the City, and Indiana Jones. We chatted about my love of Idol finalist David Cook, and how all of the aforementioned stars, shows, and silver screen favorites are all selling like hotcakes on eBay. Also appearing on the show yesterday was Jessica Szohr who plays Vanessa on Gossip Girl. Naturally I had to sneak into her dressing room to snap a pic with her! She was as sweet as sugar, and GORGEOUS in person. Truthfully, even I felt like a mini-star, they had my name on my dressing room door and were scurrying around making sure our team had enough ice, cold drinks, and snacks to keep us satiated. Too much! All in all, it was a great spot and we had a blast. Fuse is simply fab!

Wii Fit is slated for release next week: Because video game junkies need to learn that the food groups do not consist of “Buffalo wings, potato chips and jalapeño poppers.” Speaking of the Wii Fit, it’s gonna be huge and it’s gonna sell out—however, you can find it on eBay …naturally!

It’s Madonna’s world, and we just live in it. The Material Girl is never too far from our lips, she always keeps us talking. Her 11th studio album, Hard Candy, is being released next Tuesday, the 29th, and it’s already getting lots of buzz. She collaborated with Justin Timberlake, Pharrell, and Timbaland—the reigning trio of superstar hit-makers. Even if it is over-produced you know it will have at least one track you dig. So break out your jelly bracelets and give it a go.

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, right? We are well aware that the young popstars of today worship at the altar of Madonna. Britney, Christina, and Gwen—they’re all disciples. They crave her creativity and her career longevity. For instance, in the past 3 months over 20,000* Madonna items have be sold on eBay—now that’s staying power! Now, Miss Miley Cyrus, Hannah Montana herself, is in on the act. Literally. A video of Cyrus and her friend performing a full-on version of Madonna’s new single, “4 Seconds To Save The World”, just hit the web. I must admit, Miley has a magnetic quality when she performs and has some serious dance chops. In the end, she may give the Material Girl a run for her money. Time will tell.
