Listen, I am not some tawdry dame who likes over exposure, literally and figurately. However, I love watching the E! series, The Girls Next Door, a program about the lives of three real life Playboy Bunnies. The trio of bottled blondes bops around Playboy’s Holmby Hills estate getting into shenanigans and causing antics. All the while, Papa Hugh gamely gazes at his harem. Rumors are ripe that the band is calling it quits and the girls are moving on, leaving Hef to a crop of nubile newbies. I am sure the HH will survive, heck, he’s the definition of survivor, he’s 80+. His long and storied career had influenced millions and yours truly. His art direction in the 60s was so spot on, so sensational, so very scandalous (click here for some more fabulous covers). It still looks as fresh today as it did then.
