If you are obsessed with cooking, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Mario Batali like I am then you will love the upcoming PBS series, Spain…on the Road Again, premiering in September. The series got some buzz last year when it was announced that Paltrow and the portly Croc-wearing Batali would cavort all around Spain talking about cuisine and cooking (hopefully in Paltrow’s exaggerated Spanish accent). There was little- to-no info about the production and I kinda forgot about it until I found clip online today chronicling the pair’s adventures. The unlikely couple—the macrobiotic mommy and the mangia man take NY Times foodie, Mark Bittman and Spanish hottie, Claudia Bassols in the Mercedes convertible with them too. From the looks of the preview I think this will be my new favorite show…move over 90210.

The international jet set are revving their engines—the Cannes Film Festival kicks off this Wednesday, May 14th! A few movies on the docket that pique my curiosity are: CHE directed by Steven Soderbergh, SYNECDOCHE, NEW YORK directed by Charlie Kaufman, and THE EXCHANGE directed by Clint Eastwood. So who’s on tap to provide the necessary star wattage on the carpet? Here are my predictions: Benicio Del Toro who stars in CHE, Katherine Keener and Phillip Seymour Hoffman who are in SYNECDOCHE, NEW YORK, and perhaps Gwyneth and Joaquin who are both in TWO LOVERS. My guess is that Brad and Angie will show up at the big show too because, #1. they are currently hanging in the South of France, and #2., the missus stars in the aforementioned Eastwood flick (the pic at right is from another year BP attended Cannes). Get in the mood to party in the style of the French—Style.com has a lovely slide show retrospective of the iconic film fest.

We know that gladiator sandals are in for spring but is black nail polish? The inky hue was all the rage last year and was spotted on every starlet from the Big Apple to the Hollywood Hills. Even the most conservative of celebs tried the Goth-y, dark color on for size. I myself was a huge fan and painted my digits black for months on end. Slowly I got tired of it and opted for 40s reds and off-whites. However, something tells me this trend is not dead. The girls on The Hills still rock it and style setter Gwyneth Paltrow (pictured at right) was recently spotted wearing the aforementioned gladiator pumps paired with onyx toes. There are certainly a slew of brands to chose from but my favorites are OPI Onyx, and believe it or not, Wet n’ Wild. Their low-priced black polish works just fine, especially for the inevitable, post-manicure chips! In the words of Heidi Klum, tell us, “is it in or is it out?”

Unless you’ve been living under a rock(a fella!), then you’re well aware that hip hop super couple Beyoncé and Jay Z tied the knot over the weekend. The music industry’s answer to Brangelina got hitched during an intimate ceremony at Jay’s NYC pad. On Friday, one of our eBay Insider sources on the East Coast said she saw flowers being delivered all day long to the rapper’s Tribeca home. Guests included Beyoncé’s Destiny’s Child bandmates, as well as Chris Martin and wife Gwyneth Paltrow. However, the honeymoon may have to wait because Jay is on a hot tour with Mary J. Blige. Maybe Mrs. Z will make a surprise appearance onstage!
