I scored my new iPhone last weekend and immediately downloaded the new eBay application. The speed in which the application downloaded was quite impressive. Plus, the process is smooth and streamlined, which is what all of us eBay addicts really care about.

At the top of the screen, there’s a big search box. Underneath the search box, you can see your profile picture and big buttons showing your stats for each listing. At one glance of the home screen you can see what you’re watching, winning, won, were outbid on, selling, and sold.

When searching for a GPS device, I have a few important criteria. First, the ease of inputting the desired address is crucial. While most systems are conveniently touch screen-enabled, make sure you get one with a screen that works. It’s very frustrating when you’re trying to enter information into one of these gadgets while you’re driving (although you should always pull over) and you keep making mistakes! I would much rather have a GPS without other fancy features than one that doesn’t respond to my touch.

Next, the device’s portability and voice command capabilities are vital so that I can move it from car to car and that it can vocally direct you where to go, respectively. Lastly, make sure your GPS system has a color adjusting screen and comes with accessories such as a car mount and charger. Other handy features are Bluetooth capability, points of interest (for ATMs, restaurants, etc.), a live traffic updater, and satellite radio. While these extras can be helpful, keep in mind that they will bump up the total price. Top brands in this category are Garmin, IMHO and Magellan.
