Britney will not be laughed at this time around – the singer will not perform at the upcoming MTV’s Video Music Awards. Perhaps, she’s ready for her comeback. A repeat of last year’s performance would be bad news.

A horde of Elvis Presley impersonators gathered to try and set the world record for number of people dressed like “the King” in one place. Sadly, the group’s goal could not be achieved, as some of the contestants’ costumes were incomplete. Next time around, participants should look into wearing one of these.

No I am not so crass as to use that title as my own…that is indeed a lyric to Miss Britney’s 2007 single, “Gimmie More.” Yeah, you know the tune that she did her slurry, wooden dance moves to at last year’s VMAs that were the precursor to her hellacious year? That’s the one. However, Britney’s coming back to the fold, this time, perhaps with a better weave. She is slated to make another appearance on the VMAs and has recently filmed the 2 trailers below to promo her performance. Brit Brit knows that she bombed last year and makes no bones and no excuses. It’s truly the elephant in the room in the videos below. And speaking of elephants in the room, Britney is set to air her dirty laundry in an upcoming issue of OK! Magazine. Despite her trashtastic ways, I still love her—Gimmie More Britney!

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, right? We are well aware that the young popstars of today worship at the altar of Madonna. Britney, Christina, and Gwen—they’re all disciples. They crave her creativity and her career longevity. For instance, in the past 3 months over 20,000* Madonna items have be sold on eBay—now that’s staying power! Now, Miss Miley Cyrus, Hannah Montana herself, is in on the act. Literally. A video of Cyrus and her friend performing a full-on version of Madonna’s new single, “4 Seconds To Save The World”, just hit the web. I must admit, Miley has a magnetic quality when she performs and has some serious dance chops. In the end, she may give the Material Girl a run for her money. Time will tell.
