7. Paris Hilton’s days as a superstar as numbered and so are LiLo’s—there was almost no cutting to Lohan sitting in her seat throughout the show.
8. I have a guilty pleasure and it is spelled P-A-R-A-M-O-R-E!
9. When presenting, Ashlee and Pete were actually kinda cute.
10. I loved seeing Russell Brand rip on the promise-ring set and consequently, hearing Jordin Sparks get huffy.

There was a boon of couples news this weekend. So much that I have to give you a blow-by-blow breakdown.

Ashlee & Pete: Shotgun wedding! Did the bride wear white? Only the $1 million pictures will tell.
Jess & Tony: Hot date or wedding crasher? Romo showed up to Ash’s wedding but it’s unclear the nature of the visit. Did Papa Joe orchestrate that one too?
David & David: Cook and Archuleta spend the weekend gearing up for the American Idol finale. Out partying? No way. Think tea, honey, and a whole lotta nerves.
Kate & Lance: This new duo got hot n’ heavy in Texas over the weekend. Hudson just split with Owen Wilson and has taken up with the biking champ. Talk about a bicycle built for two. (PS: there was a huge spike in Hudson-related items* on eBay on 5/18….hmmmm, people are talking, and buying!)
Mandy & Ryan: Moore & Adams? That’s the oddest couple out there.
Lindsay & Sam: Back from Paris, these amis love to keep everyone guessing. L’amour!
Nicole & Keith: Finally, this woman looks pregnant! I was beginning to wonder if this was the second coming of the immaculate conception.
Laird & his Surfboard: 1 half of the sickeningly athletic family (Hamilton is married to volleyball superstar, Gabrielle Reece) paddle-surfed around the State of Liberty. Apparently the Circle Line tour boat was booked.

What’s the eBay update? Well, the imminent Wii Fit launch and the upcoming release of Sex and the City is making the online marketplace buzz.

Brian Jonestown Massacre, “My Bloody Underground”, 4/15: interesting that they got their LP out before the May release from their musical rivals, The Dandy Warhols).
Elvis Costello, “Momofuku”, 4/22: The other Elvis brings it on Momofuku.
Ashlee Simpson, “Bittersweet World”, 4/22: Lil’ Ashlee is all grown up on this album, fiancée and baby daddy(?) Pete Wentz lends a hand.
Flight of the Conchords, “Flight of the Conchords“, 4/22: The comedic folk duo are bound to come out with something hilarious.
Portishead, “Third”, 4/29: The original trip-hoppers are back. No more “Sour Times”!
Estelle, “Shine”, 4/29: They’re all saying she’s the new Amy Winehouse…I hope they mean musically and not personally.
Santogold, “Santogold”, 4/29: They’re all saying she’s the new MIA. 4/29
The Roots, “Rising Down“, 4/29: Philly’s hip hop superstars raise consciousness…and the roof.

Another Simpson sister is about to walk down the aisle. Singer Ashlee Simpson just announced that her and rocker boyfriend, Pete Wentz are going to make it official. The engagement announcement just hit the wires and everyone’s buzzing about the details of the impending nuptials. Whereas sister Jessica went the traditional route when she married former hubby Nick Lachey, I think that Ashlee may go for an edgier vibe. I suspect lots of black eyeliner (for Pete too!) and outrageous hair extensions. Will this young pair make their MTV debut with Newlyweds part deux? What do you think?
