Like every other teenager across America I am obsessed with Gossip Girl. At first I was reluctant and did not want to succumb to its wiles but indeed I have. It is like Chuck Bass reached out of the TV screen and lured me in with one of his omnipresent cocktails. Sheesh, it’s a problem. I know that the story lines are convoluted and no teenager is allowed to swill martinis all week long, but between the killer fashion and Blair’s bad attitude, it’s addictive. If you are not caught up, get yourself into a DVD marathon STAT. The best part is that the producers are not trying to make the characters out to be anything else than shallow and self-obsessed young adults that they are. Take their new (and might I add brilliant) ad campaign. It’s better than their last one in my opinion. The characters faces have been scrawled over with words like: fake, liar, loser, cheater— this is no 7th Heaven, they don’t sugar coat it or anything!
